1900 April lst. Holsworthy became an Urban District and a new parish of Holsworthy Hamlets was formed, due to the Local Government Board Order.
1900 Miss Fanny Higgs agreed to lend the District Council the sum of £460 to purchase a steam road roller at the interest of l0s. per annum, to be paid back over a period of 4½ years.
1900 27th June. In consequence of the Constitution of the new Parish of Holsworthy it was the opinion of the committee that the following salaries be reduced:— Mr. William Prout (surveyor) reduced from £115 to £107 per annum, Mr. W.G.Gray (Medical Officer of Health) from £31.5s. to £25 per annum and Mr. R. Banbury (Inspector of Nuisances) from £47 to £42 per annum.

1900 22nd August. Council recommendation that Mr. John Prout (son of Mr. William Prout) be appointed Surveyor, at a salary of £100 per annum.
