1377 Henry and Elizabeth Thorne granted a licence for a Chapel at Thorne.
1381 Further licence for Chapel at Thorne granted to Henry and Elizabeth Thorne.
1400 Further licence granted for Chapel at Thorne.
1571 October 19th. Humphrey Thorne of Upcott had Thorne, North and South Rhude, and property in Pancrasweek and Sheepwash.
1704 Law suit over the ownership of Upcott and Thorne, this lasted twelve years.
1716 5th March. Stephen and John Coham bought Thorne.
1717 3rd May. Thorne sold to John Ebbott, by the Coham family.
1780 January 21st. John Daniel of Thorne died.
1839 Thorne Manor owned by Mr. John Vowler.
