Ruby Run

An annual half marathon event where contestants run from Hatherleigh to Holsworthy or in the opposite direction. Raising funds for local causes contestants can either run or walk the course. This year - 2010 Half-Marathon - Sunday 13th June. Holsworthy to Hatherleigh. 2009 Half-Marathon - Sunday 14th June. Hatherleigh to Holsworthy.
Funds were raised for the Childrens Hospice South West, Holsworthy and Hatherleigh Youth Projects

Funds were raised for the North Tamar Community Transport project.
2008 was a well supported event with nearly 200 runners, nearly 100 walkers and 3 relay teams.
The first runner to finish was Tom Merson with a time of 1.12.13, the first local was Wayne Stephens in 1.19.09 and the first female was Vicky Pincombe in 1.28.23Next Ruby Run - 2011. Hatherleigh to Holsworthy.
