New Year's Eve dawned after a hard night's frost.

Rodney took a walk around Derriton viaduct and along the Ruby Way to Lambs Lane and took a few photographs along the way.

The traditional Boxing Day meet was held in the square.

The weather was bright and sunny for the riders and hounds of Tetcott Hunt and there was a good turnout of people to witness this traditional event.

Boxing Day Meet

Sing Christmas was held Upstairz at the White Hart Hotel.

There was a live link to BBC Radio Devon Local Carol Event. Rev John Henry was in chage of proceedings. There were presents for the oldest and youngest people there, the youngest being Taylor Hutchings at 3½ months and the eldest was 87 years old.

A buffet was provided after by Jon and Tammy Hutchings and the whole event had a lovely family atmosphere.

Holsworthy Late Night Shopping was held on 10th December 2008

It was very busy this year with a lot of people turning out for the event which, apart from the shops staying open late, featured an appearance of Father Christmas with gifts for the children (organised by Holsworthy Lions Club) a turnout by the Town Band and also a presence of Holsworthy Cubs in the square.
